City of Raymondville-TDA Grant # 713391

The City of Raymondville will receive bids for PROPOSED REPLACEMENT OF A 10" SANITARY SEWER LINE & MANHOLE REHABILITATION IMPROVEMENTS until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 22, 2014 at Raymondville City Hall located at 142 South 7th Street, Raymondville, Texas 78580. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 22, 2014 at a regular meeting of the City of Raymondville Board of Commissioners, located at the Raymondville Rural Technology Center, 700 FM 3168, Raymondville, Texas 78580. Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows:

REHABILITATION OF 14 MANHOLES and

1. CONSTRUCTION OF 230 LF 12" PVC SANITARY SEWER LINE, 2 NEW 12’-14' FIBERGLASS MANHOLES, 88 LF OF 24" STEEL CASING (BORED) Or

2. PIPE BURSTING OF 300 LF OF 10" CLAY PIPE TO 12" AND REHAB OF AN ADDITIONAL MANHOLE. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications are on file at the office of Engineer, Guzman & Muñoz Engineering and Surveying, Inc. (GMES) located at 2020 East Expressway 83, Mercedes Texas 78570 at which specifications can be obtained.

Copies of the Bid/Contract Documents may be obtained by depositing a non-refundable fee of $100.00 with the engineer for each set of documents obtained.

A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Raymondville or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond.

One (1) pre-bid conference will be conducted by the Owner on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. The pre-bid conference shall be conducted at Rural Technology Center located at, 700 F.M. 3168 in Raymondville, Texas. 78580.. Attendance by prospective Bidders is highly recommended. Sub-contractors, suppliers, and equipment suppliers may attend.

Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis- Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age , familial status or national origin.

The City of Raymondville reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Raymondville for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.

All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project.
