RAYMONDVILLE/ HOUSTON Norma Linda Nieto, 54, entered into eternal glory Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX. She was born November 23, 1959 to Catalino Nieto and Evangelina Garza Nieto.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Javier Nieto.

She is survived by her daughters, Connie (Jose Luis) Alvarez and Amy Gomez; sons, Hilario (Laura) Gomez, Jr., Bobby (Aidee) Gomez, Eddie Gomez and Ricky Gomez; 20 grandchildren; brothers, Salvador Nieto, Ruben Nieto, Israel Nieto, Rolando Nieto, David Nieto, Catalino Nieto and Noe Nieto; sister, Sylvia TreviƱo; and cousin, Diana Garza

Visitation was held Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. with the holy rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. by Mrs. Juanita Cavazos and her daughter, Viola Lozano; and Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. with the holy rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. by Aurora Pedraza and Christina Caldera with music accompaniment by the choir of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Manuel Caldera at the harmonica, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 1157 W. Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, TX 78580.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Norma’s life was held Monday, June 23, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 693 N. 3rd St., Raymondville, TX 78580.

A funeral procession followed to her final place of rest in the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Hilario Jr., Bobby, Eddie, Ricky, Thomas Gomez, Leroy & Robert Quintanilla.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home.
