RAYMONDVILLE - Concepcion R. Galvan, 75, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. She was born on February 20, 1942 in Estacion Sandoval, Mexico to Jesus and Tomasita (Canchola) Rico.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jesus Rico, Oscar Rico, and David Rico; and sister, Maria del Carmen Rico. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Geronimo Galvan; sons, Arturo (Maria) Galvan, Juan (Rosa Maria) Galvan, Geronimo Galvan Jr., Reynaldo (Carolina) Galvan, Antonio (Marina) Galvan, and Oscar (Jessica) Galvan; daughters, Luz Elva (Luis) Barajas, Guadalupe (Alberto) Moreno, Griselda (Martin) Cisneros, San Juana Galvan, and Celia (Eliseo) Cerda; brothers, Florencio Rico and Adalberto Rico; sisters, Celia Rico, Trinidad Rico, Alicia Ruiz, Maria Rico, and Leticia Rico; 33 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 4:00 PM till 9:00PM, Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 9:00 AM till 9:00 PM, and Sunday, April 16, 2017 from 4:00 PM till 9:00 PM with a rosary recited every night at 7:00 PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A chapel service was held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral procession led to her final place of rest in the Lyford Evergreen Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Jose Alberto Moreno, Alejandro Galvan, Juan Carlos Galvan, Jesus Moreno, Pedro Arturo Barajas, Jorge Luis Barajas, Omar Barajas, Eliseo Cerda Jr., and Cristian Guerrero.
