Reader is thankful for 8-liner raids

Sunday was a great day to be in Sebastian, Texas. Darkness fell and traffic did not clog the streets, 2000- lumen floodlights did not blind the residents, car alarms didn’t wreck the peace and quiet, beer cans weren’t being tossed out of car windows, and the armed guards were gone - they were no longer needed.

It was the way Sebastian used to be, before the game room infestation. We had nearly forgotten over the last year and half what a nice place this was. Now the residents of Sebastian have their community back, for the time being at least.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Sheriff Spence, District Attorney Hinojosa, to their staffs, to the police forces of Lyford and Raymondville, and to everyone else associated with the law enforcement action on Saturday night.

Thank You, Joe and Rachel Bridgman Sebastian
