Powerlifters honored by Lyford City leaders

Tovar qualified to the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting 2018 Region 5 Division 3 Championships where she placed 5th with a total combined weight of 920 lbs. She qualified for 2018 Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Division 3A State Championships in Waco where she placed 7th with a total combined weight of 890 lbs.

Moreno qualified for Re- gion 5 Division 3 Championships where he placed second with a total combined weight of 1405 lbs. He earned the Region 5 Division 3 Outstanding Award and qualified to compete at the Division 3 State Championship in Abilene where he placed 10th with a total combined weight of 1380 lbs. and also earned the Division 3 State Outstanding Deadlifter Chavez qualified in the Texas High School Powerlifting Region 5 Division 3 Championships where he placed 2nd with a total combined weight of 1265 lbs. He qualified to compete at the Division 3 State Championship in Abilene where he placed 2nd with a total combined weight of 1320 lbs. and also earned the Division 3 State Outstanding Deadlifter Award in the light platform.

Chavez qualified in the Texas High School Powerlifting Region 5 Division 3 Championships where he placed 2nd with a total combined weight of 1265 lbs. Chavez qualified to compete at the Texas High School Powerlifting Division 3 State Championship in Abilene where he placed 2nd with a total combined weight of 1320 lbs. and also earning the Division 3 State Outstanding Deadlifter Award in the light platform.

Garcia qualified to the Texas High School Powerlifting Region 5 Division 3 Championships where he placed 1st with a total combined weight of 1595 lbs. Garcia qualified to compete at the Texas High School Powerlifting Division 3 State Championship in Abilene where he placed 5th with a total combined weight of 1680 lbs.
