ELIAS PEREZ

LASARA, TEXAS -Elias Perez, 73, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 30, 2018 at his residence in Lasara, TX. He was born on March 14, 1945 in Lasara, TX to Zenaido and Maria T. Perez.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Kinny Perez; and sisters, Linda Olivarez and Helen Mendoza. He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Perez; daughter, Doris Perez; brothers, Johnny (Clara) Perez, Jose “Pepe” (Estella) Perez, Zenaido “Birdie” (Gloria) Perez, and Eloy (Sylvia) Perez; sisters, Viola (Arturo) Davila, Josie (Rene) Gonzalez, and Vicky (Rey) Llanes; grandchildren, Michael Gorena, Kristina Gorena, and Carlos M. Lopez; great grandchildren, Kasey and Kelly Rubio; stepchildren, Marisa Loya, Guadalupe “Buddy” (Tara) Loya, Jr., Yvette Loya (Lionel), and Lori Loya (Rey); and 17 step grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. and resumed on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral service to celebrate Elias’ life was held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Methodist Church. A funeral procession followed to his final place of rest at the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Michael Gorena, Carlos Lopez, Birdie Perez, Rey Llanes, Eloy Perez, Johnny Perez, Jose “Pepe” Perez, and Julian Hernandez.

Honorary pallbearers were Kinny Ray Llanes, Ernesto Llanes, Rey Villarreal, and Polo Gonzalez.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home. 1157 W. Hidalgo Raymondville, TX.
